Privacy Notice

Pre-launch draft updated August 1, 2026

Launch review required. This notice describes the repaired system, but privacy counsel must approve it together with the actual hosting, email, payment, retention, support, and optional AI arrangements before LEGAL_CONTENT_APPROVED is enabled.

Information collected

We collect account and contact information, the answers you provide during the guided intake, your selected state/county/package, case status, consent and revision history, payment transaction references, support communications, security logs, and generated-document metadata. Stripe processes card details; this application does not store full card numbers.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate you, preserve and validate your intake, prepare an approved document packet, process and reconcile payment, provide support, protect the service, maintain an audit trail, and meet legal or accounting obligations. The required intake is deterministic and does not need an AI provider.

Service providers and disclosures

Information may be handled by the hosting provider, Stripe, configured email provider, and vendors needed to operate and secure the service. We may also disclose information when legally required or to investigate fraud or security incidents. The repaired site does not sell personal information, render arbitrary tracking scripts, export leads, or send completed case answers to an external AI reviewer.

Optional external AI guidance is disabled by default. It must not be enabled until the provider, data flow, notice, consent, retention, and contractual safeguards have been separately approved. Enabling optional guidance does not authorize sending client case answers for AI review.

Cookies and logs

The site uses an essential secure session cookie for login and CSRF protection. Operational logs may contain request identifiers, timestamps, security events, and technical errors. Logs must not contain completed intake text or secret keys.

Storage, security, and retention

Canonical answers and their revisions are stored in MySQL. Generated files are stored outside the public web root and are served only through an ownership-checked route. Access controls, encryption in transit, restrictive file permissions, rate limits, and audit logging reduce risk, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Disabling an account does not automatically erase case, payment, or audit records. A written retention and verified deletion schedule must be approved before launch, including legal holds, backups, tax/accounting records, and deletion requests.

Your requests

You may correct profile information in your account and may request access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion by contacting us. Applicable rights and exceptions depend on your location and the records involved. We will verify identity before acting on a request.

Children and sensitive information

The service is intended for adults. The minor-children package is not available in this release. Do not enter Social Security numbers, full bank account numbers, passwords, or other information the intake does not request.

Contact and changes

Questions or privacy requests: contact@filemydivorcenow.com. Material changes should be dated and presented before they apply when required by law.
