Terms of Service
Pre-launch draft updated August 8, 2026
Launch review required. These terms describe the repaired product but are not a substitute for jurisdiction-specific legal review. Counsel must approve them, the business model, and the checkout consent flow before LEGAL_CONTENT_APPROVED is enabled.
Service
File My Divorce Now LLC provides self-help document-preparation software for eligible uncontested matters. The guided intake stores and validates the information you provide and may prepare a packet only when the selected state/package form release is approved. Packet availability can change when forms or rules are updated.
No legal representation or advice
We are not a law firm, do not represent either spouse, and do not create an attorney-client relationship. The service does not choose legal strategy, determine your rights, predict an outcome, or guarantee court acceptance. Consider consulting a licensed attorney, especially for disagreement, safety concerns, complex property, immigration, bankruptcy, tax, retirement, support, or jurisdiction questions.
No calculations or recommendations
The service may collect an income, salary, expense, asset, debt, or other amount when a reviewed form requires the user's own answer. It copies that confirmed answer into the form without auditing or deriving it. The service does not calculate or recommend child support, spousal support, property or debt division, tax treatment, court fees, filing dates, response deadlines, waiting periods, or likely outcomes. Any calculation field left blank must be completed using current official instructions or with help from a qualified professional.
Eligibility and safety
The service is limited to supported uncontested situations with no minor or dependent children together. It is not an emergency service. If there is immediate danger, contact emergency services or an appropriate local resource. The minor-children package is not available in this release. The service will stop child-related intake and document generation when an answer reveals children or another unsupported or inconsistent situation.
Your responsibilities
You must be an adult authorized to use the account, provide truthful and complete information, protect your password, review every answer and generated page, follow current court instructions, and verify filing fees, service methods, deadlines, signatures, notarization, and local requirements with the court or a qualified professional. Do not upload information the intake does not request.
Payment and delivery
The server calculates the price from the active package and valid coupon. Stripe processes payment. A successful payment is separate from document generation; generation begins only after payment verification, intake confirmation, and all release checks. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Account records and availability
We may suspend access to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or maintain the service. Account disablement preserves case, payment, and audit records subject to the approved retention policy. Service interruptions and court-site changes may occur; no filing deadline should depend solely on this site.
Acceptable use
Do not access another person's case, interfere with security controls, automate abusive requests, submit unlawful material, impersonate another person, reverse engineer protected portions of the service, or use the service to harass or deceive.
Intellectual property
The application and original service content are owned by File My Divorce Now LLC or its licensors. Court forms and third-party materials may be governed by separate terms. Your permitted use of a generated packet is personal to the matter for which it was prepared.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided subject to applicable law and the limitations approved for launch. Any warranty disclaimer, liability cap, indemnity, dispute process, governing law, venue, arbitration provision, and class-action waiver must be supplied or approved by counsel before these terms become effective. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Privacy, changes, and contact
The Privacy Notice explains data handling. Material changes should be dated and presented for consent when required. Questions: contact@filemydivorcenow.com.
